  City Palace Udaipur

The City Palace in Udaipur was built in a flamboyant style and is considered the largest of its type in Rajasthan, a fusion of the Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles, and was built on a hill top that gives a panoramic view of the city and its surrounding, including several historic monuments such as the Lake Palace in Lake Pichola, the Jag Mandir on another island in the lake, the Jagdish Temple close to the palace, the Monsoon Palace on top of an overlooking hillock nearby and the Neemach Mata temple.

Shilpgram is a Rural Arts and Crafts Complex conceived as a livingenthnographic museum to depict the lifestyles of the folk and tribal people of the West Zone. Within this complex, huts of the member states are constructed incorporating traditional architectural features of different geographical and ethnic groups residing within the WestZone of India comprising of five Federal State.

     JAGDISH TEMPLE

Built in 1651 AD by Maharana Jagat Singh I and dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple has an imposing 79 ft high pagoda covered with sculptures of dancers, musicians, elephants and horsemen. It is the city’s largest and most resplendent temple. Shoes need to be removed before entering the temple.
